Gilenya
Gilenya is a prescription oral medication used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults. Although it is not a cure, it can help slow down the progression of physical problems caused by MS. It works as an immunosuppressant by keeping immune cells trapped in your lymph nodes so they can't reach the central nervous system. In clinical studies the most common side effects included headache, flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, back pain, abnormal liver tests, and cough. Your doctor should discuss other rare but potentially serious side effects and potential drug interactions with you prior to treatment.
