Palmetto Infusion held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and Open House event to celebrate the opening of its newest ambulatory infusion clinic, located at 110 Mutual Drive in Anderson, South Carolina, on Tuesday, July 13.
City of Anderson Mayor Terence Roberts, local providers and members of the medical community, and other stakeholders were in attendance.
The new 3,717-square foot infusion clinic, which opened to patients on June 9, is designed to accommodate the ever increasing need for accessible ambulatory infusion services that are not only cost-effective for the patient and payers, but also are administered with the patients’ comfort and convenience in mind.
“Over the years we have become more and more committed to making sure that we have the right facilities to serve our patients,” said Vice President of Real Estate & Corporate Development Thomas Otis. “We don’t often build from scratch, but this brick-and-mortar does underscore the continued commitment we’re making to the Anderson market. We’re looking forward to continuing to develop our patient census and our relationship with this wonderful community.”
This newest addition will aid in providing greater access of care not only in the City of Anderson, but also in Anderson County and nearby communities.
“Touring the building and talking to these guys I learned about the company’s commitment to taking care of the health of citizens, and that’s important to us and my fellow council members,” said Mayor Terence Roberts. “But really, today is about celebrating this space. It is beautiful and I appreciate all the team members that you have here.”
The clinic has five private infusion rooms, as well as 12 additional chairs for patients and is staffed with five experienced and caring medical professionals led by Tina Alexander, Clinical Nurse Manager.
