COVID-19 Update to Palmetto Infusion Patients from our CEO
Dear Valued Palmetto Infusion Patient,
As we see cases of COVID-19 surge across the country, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to those who have been directly impacted by this pandemic. Our hearts are with you during this time.
I recognize that with the Delta variant of COVID-19, you may be assessing your individual health risks, as many of you are immunocompromised, on immunosuppressants, or otherwise considered high risk, and I want to personally assure you that you have our continued commitment to quality care and safety. Providing you with the medications and services you need in a safe manner and without worry is our primary focus and responsibility.
With that, and in response to recent changes from federal and local health leaders, we are continuing deliberate actions to ensure our patients’ health and safety. These actions include:
- Prescreening patients for signs and symptoms of infection (fever, cough, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, etc.) at the time of scheduling an appointment. If patients are exhibiting signs of infection, the appointment will be postponed until CDC monitoring guidelines have been met.
- Prescreening patients at appointment arrival for signs and symptoms of infection at the infusion clinic. Patients exhibiting COVID symptoms will be asked to leave/reschedule.
- Requiring the use of face masks that cover both the nose and mouth while inside the building
- Limiting the number of people in the waiting areas to patients only. However, caregivers can accompany the patient if they are required for patient care.
These additional measures have been taken to help mitigate the potential spread of the virus and to ensure we maintain our ability to serve you, our patient, for the long term.
Should you have questions, please contact your local clinic, or email us at [email protected].
At Palmetto Infusion, the safety of our patients and staff is our highest priority. We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will communicate any important updates to our clinics and processes.
Please be safe and stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
David Goodall, Palmetto Infusion CEO
